Information regarding the 2019-2020 VRC Program:
Remember, our Accelerated Reader points re-started on May 24, 2019. All points students accrue will count towards next year's rewards and field trips. This year's Virginia Readers's Choice deadline has been moved up so we can take care of everything before SOL testing begins.
MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2020, is the deadline for all 2019-2020 VRC's to be read. The 8th-grade deadline might be moved up, based upon movie availability at the local cinema.
Here are reminders regarding attending the VRC field trips, which are rewards for successfully completing the VRC program (6th reads 6 books, 7th reads 7 books, and 8th reads 8 books--and passes all tests).
1. Read and pass the required number of books for your grade.
2. Write your name on the VRC clipboard in the library by MARCH 9
(You have to write your name down so we can check your record; otherwise, we will not know you made your goal). Be sure that your name is highlighted.
3. When you receive your permission slip, return it by the due date on the slip.
4. Go on a great field trip!
