Meet Your Teacher . . .

This is my 8th year with Bedford County Public Schools, and my 7th at Forest Middle School. I’ve earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, a Master’s Degree in Management from Regent University, and a Master’s Degree in Teaching from Liberty University. I spent a 21-year career in the US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel and instructor pilot, and had the opportunity to serve, fly, and teach in the F-15 Eagle fighter jet plus the T-37 and T-6A trainer aircraft. I have had the opportunity to live in Tennessee, Texas, Arizona, Germany, Florida, New Mexico, Virginia, Okinawa Japan, Mississippi, and Georgia. Additionally, I served as a pilot for clients of NetJets, Inc., on Cessna Citation V private business jets.

My primary goal is to develop you into a mature and capable high school math student. I hope to make this one of the most enjoyable, rewarding, and valuable math years you will have. You will grow in your ability and confidence as you learn how to analyze, think critically, and solve all sorts of challenges. You will become very well prepared for your future math and science classes at JFHS.

“Congratulations!

Today is your day.

You’re off to Great Places!

You’re off and away!

You’ll be on your way up!

You’ll be seeing great sights!

You’ll join the high fliers

who soar to high heights.”

-- Dr. Seuss, Oh, the Places You’ll Go!

Let’s have a great year together!
