Hello and Welcome to Math 6 and Advanced Math 6
2017-2018

Homework

Homework is a crucial part of math success and will be given almost nightly - Monday through Thursday and on some Fridays.  Most homework is graded.

You can help your child by checking over his / her homework for completion & spot checking for accuracy.

Grading Policy

Grades will be assigned based on the Bedford County Schools Grading Policy:

40% Formative =What are we doing to make sure you are learning the material?
Student scores on class work, homework, spiral quizzes, teacher-led activities,  group activities

60% Summative =What are we doing to show that you know the material?
Student scores on quizzes, tests,& projects.  Students will be permitted to make corrections on tests and quizzes in order to re-learn material, and earn back some points.  Sometimes corrections will be made during class and sometimes corrections will be made at home.

TUESDAY FOLDER REMINDER: Students will receive Tuesday folders each week. Please look over the papers inside - there will be memos from the office and graded work. Students are responsible for getting their papers into the folder. Sign and return the folder on Wednesday for $10 FMS bucks!
